How many colors are in a regular bag of M&Ms?

YOU ANSWERED CORRECTLY!

Answer: Six

About The Answer:

There are six colors in a regular bag of milk chocolate M&Ms. In fact, there are carefully calculated percentages of each color based on consumer preference. Thirty percent are brown, twenty percent each of yellow and red, and ten percent each of orange, green and blue. Blue is the newest color, which replaced tan in 1995. M&Ms are made by Mars Chocolate, which also makes Snickers and Milky Way. Over fifty percent of all M&Ms sold in the United States are made at the Mars Chocolate North America campus in Hackettstown, New Jersey. The facility opened in 1958 and employs 1,200 people. M&Ms were first sold to the United States military in 1941, as they were heat resistant with their candy coating and easy to transport in cardboard tubes. Their original colors were brown, red, orange, yellow, green, and violet.
