In "The Muppet Christmas Carol," who played Scrooge?
YOU ANSWERED CORRECTLY!
Answer: Michael Caine
About The Answer:
Michael Caine starred as Ebenezer Scrooge in 1992’s The Muppet Christmas Carol. The film faithfully follows Charles Dickens’s original story from 1843. Kermit the Frog plays Bob Cratchit, as the loyal bookkeeper to Scrooge. In preparing for his role, Caine stated, “I’m going to play this movie like I’m working with the Royal Shakespeare Company. I will never wink, I will never do anything Muppety. I am going to play Scrooge as if it is an utterly dramatic role and there are no puppets around me.” The film was a moderate success at the box office and with critics but faced intense competition from other movies released at the time, such as Home Alone 2 and Disney’s Aladdin.
