In what modern-day country was Saint Nicholas born?

YOU ANSWERED CORRECTLY!

Answer: Turkey

About The Answer:

Saint Nicholas was born in the village of Patara in Asia Minor, now on Turkey’s southern coast. Nicolas was raised to be a devout Christian and obeyed Jesus’ words to “sell what you own and give the money to the poor.” When Nicholas inherited a large sum, he used all of it to assist those in need, who were sick, and those who suffered. His life was dedicated to serving God, and he was appointed Bishop of Myra. He continued his custom of secret gift-giving throughout his life, and his generosity led to the model for the traditional depiction of Santa Claus. Saint Nicholas is credited with many miracles throughout his life, many benefiting young children and teens.
