The little men that helped make the chocolate in Willy Wonka’s factory are called Oompa-Loompas. They are from Loompaland, which is said to be a terrible place, so Mr. Wonka took them in to be workers for the factory. They keep the factory running by helping Willy Wonka with his experiments and taking care of the candy there. They also live at the factory, and enjoy dancing and singing while they work. In the movie, they are seen being hard at work but they have many extra jobs within the movie due to the children’s predicaments they put themselves in when at the factory. When the predicaments arise, the Oompa-Loompas stay calm and sing while working through the problem.
