Jay Scott Greenspan is better known as Jason Alexander. Born on September 23, 1959, Alexander borrowed his father’s first name and adopted it as his stage name. Initially, Alexander wanted to be a magician but transitioned into stage acting in New York City. He earned the 1989 Tony Award for the Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his work in “Jerome Robbins’ Broadway.” Alexander is an accomplished singer and dancer and appeared in 2003’s Los Angeles production of Mel Brook’s “The Producer’s.” Of course, Alexander is best known as George Costanza in “Seinfeld.” He has appeared in films such as “Pretty Woman,” “Jacob’s Ladder,” and Disney’s 1996 animated film “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
