Cornucopia represents an abundance of good things. Specifically, it is an ornamental container shaped like a goat’s horn, but the term is often used to describe great blessings and an overflowing abundance of good things, most often food. For example, the orchard has a cornucopia of apple varieties this autumn. Cornucopias had symbolized nourishment, wealth, and abundance since as far back as Greek mythology when Zeus was depicted holding a cornucopia. Cornucopias also feature prominently during Thanksgiving feasts, as food is abundant from the year’s harvests.
