YOU ANSWERED INCORRECTLY!

Answer: Mount Vernon

About The Answer:

Mount Vernon is home to George Washinton and is located in Virginia. The house was originally built by George’s father, Augustine Washington, in 1734. It began as a one-half story building but was slowly enlarged during renovations by George Washington himself, in 1758, 1774, and 1776, to include the 21 rooms present now. Washington ran the home beginning in 1754 and inherited it from his father in 1761. The site was originally a 3000-acre plantation containing the mansion, gardens, farm distillery, and gristmill, grew to 7,600 acres under Washington, but now sites on 500 acres. The homestead is a popular tourist attraction that is open 365 days a year.
