Shaggy’s real name is Norville Rogers. Shaggy is the owner of his Great Dane, Scooby-Doo. Shaggy is described as a “cowardly slacker” with a great interest in eating, which he shares with his dog. The character was initially voiced by Casey Kasem, famed disc jockey and radio personality of ‘American Top Forty.’ Shaggy frequently uses the word ‘like,’ as many teenagers are apt to do. His trademark exclamation is ‘Zoinks!’ Shaggy typically wears a green t-shirt and brown pants, both loose-fitting. Shaggy adopted Scooby-Doo from the Knittingham Puppy Farm when he was old enough to begin school. When he is older, he meets, befriends, and teams up with Fred, Velma, and Daphne as our beloved mystery-solving team.
