What type of dog is the Yale University mascot?

YOU ANSWERED CORRECTLY!

Answer: Bulldog

About The Answer:

The Yale University mascot is ‘Hansome Dan,’ a bulldog. A live bulldog has represented Yale as their mascot since at least 1890 and is widely known as the first live animal collegiate mascot. In March 2021, a new puppy arrived to take over the mascot duties, Handsome Dan XIX. The current ‘Dan’ is an Olde English Bulldogge, a healthy and hardy breed with a greater lifespan than traditional bulldogs. Dan will be cared for by Kassandra Haro, a member of the Yale Visitor Center. Her duties will include Dan’s training, socialization, and coordination of all public appearances. She will also manage his social media accounts, including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. Dan’s predecessor retired and currently lives in New York City with his human.

Great job!
