What year did Disneyland open?

YOU ANSWERED INCORRECTLY!

Answer: 1955

About The Answer:

Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955, at the cost of $17 million. The park was built on 160 acres of a former orange grove. The park brought in astronomical profits, and today (pre-covid) hosts more than 18 million visitors spending almost $3 billion. Disney films’ success prompted Mr. Disney to begin designing a theme park around his movies’ characters. The park was built to entertain adults as well as children, and construction began in 1954. The park was not ready for its immediate success, as food and beverages ran out, and the Mark Twain Steamboat nearly capsized from overcapacity. The problems were quickly remedied, and new attractions were planned and built to generate repeat customers.
