The bird that is known to mimic many sounds is called a lyrebird. The specific lyrebird that is most known to do this is called the superb lyrebird, scientifically known as the Menura novaehollandiae. This bird has been heard to mimic a chainsaw, flocks of birds, the barking of dogs, human voices, car engines and alarms, music, and so much more. They use this particular skill to protect themselves, trick other birds and animals, and sometimes just as a hobby for them. Lyrebirds are known for the beautiful tunes they sound, but of course, they do so much more than their own sounds.
