Which bird is the only kind of bird that can fly backwards and upside down?

YOU ANSWERED CORRECTLY!

Answer: Hummingbird

About The Answer:

Hummingbirds are the only kind of bird that can fly upside down and backwards! They have a special build that lets them rotate their wings 180 degrees to enable them to do this. You can usually see them flying backwards from a flower they were just taking nectar from. Hummingbirds also pollinate the flower just like a bee would do. These birds serve an important role in reproducing plants. Their forehead is the collector of the pollen while they take the nectar, and this helps the transfer process of the pollen which is called pollination. Aside from flying backwards and upside down, you may also see a hummingbird hover, or fly in one spot. This also helps them stay put in front of flowers so they can easily take the nectar they need from the flower.

Great job!
